Since it's inception Grand Schema has grown by leaps and bounds, taking on new and interesting projects all the time. As the company continues to expand, this complete head-to-tail operation is set to continue its high standard of work on a growing scale.
Producer, director and company CEO, Christopher J. Scott and his brother, editor and company President, Glen Scott have been working together on a number of films and television projects for the past 15 years. The brothers have a diverse production background and co-owned two production companies, the most recent called Great Scott! Films. Their professional film making experience lies in producing multi-camera concert films, sports documentaries, feature length narratives, non-scripted programming, as well as political and historical programs and documentaries.
When they sold their production company Great Scott! Films, Christopher and Glen wanted to capitalize on their yin/yang partnership with creative autonomy. In 2012, they teamed up with longtime friend and business associate, Jason M. Birnbaum, to fund the development of Grand Schema Inc. Jason, a doctoral candidate in Psychology, and former professor of Psychology at Brooklyn College, has a diverse 10 year production background in the fields of advertising and corporate media, rounding out the team as a producer and COO of the company.
Recent additions to the Grand Schema team are Ryan A. McDonald and his Bad Bulldog Productions partner, serial entrepreneur, Steve Wang. Ryan is a former partner at Goodwin Procter, LLP (and Am Law 100 firm) where he spent the first 10 years of his professional career formulating and implementing litigation strategies for fortune 500 as well as Fortune 50 companies on a nationwide basis. In the past five years Ryan has been writing and acting for film and television. He co-founded Renaissance Media Entertainment, Bad Bulldog Productions and Occam's Razor Entertainment and will assume the role of Executive Vice President at Grand Schema Inc.
Steve Wang's financial career is stemmed from being a successful Senior Account Executive for JP Morgan Chase, then onto Oxford Health Plans as a Sales Manager, where he directed the Asian Initiative Group in implementing sales and market expansion initiatives. In 2004 he founded G.A.S., LLC a well-versed venture capital firm handling real estate and pioneering relationships between U.S. and Chinese film and television markets. Steve has been appointed the role of Chief Financial Officer at Grand Schema Inc. and he and Ryan's Bad Bulldog Productions business relationships with China Central Television (CCTV), DMG Entertainment and several high powered potential investors and co-producers will be merging interests with Grand Schema Inc. in 2015.
